In mid-June, an approx. two-year-old eagleowl male got lost in our facilities. For over a week, everything possible was tried to free the frightened bird from its fatal situation. Our Mr. Schneider from the locksmith's shop was even out and about in the halls as early as 04:00 am in the morning. On Sunday, it was then possible to catch the exhausted animal and it was brought to Grevenbroich for "rehoming". After a few days, the bird could then be released again in our park area – originally, the animal probably came from the gravel pit Bliesheim.
We would like to thank all those involved, such as Mrs. and Mr. Schneider, Ulrich Bergrath from the NABU, the animal rescue Düren, Harald Küpper and other ANKER employees for this great rescue action.
